JAMMU, Apr 22: Ration Dealers’ Association, Jammu province today held a protest highlighting their burning issues like releasing commission and transport carriage of the ration dealers pending for the year 2017.
A large number of Department of Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs’ (FCS&CA) ration dealers today took out a protest in Jammu under the leadership of president of the Association, Milkhi Ram. They raised slogans in support of their demands and appealed the higher authorities of FCS&CA Department to fulfill their demands on priority.
The main demands highlighted by the protesting ration dealers were adjustment of all ration dealers as Rebra-e-Kurak in the Department of FCS&CA as permanent employees, clearance of their commission and transport carriage pending for the year 2017 and paying transport carriage to them on the basis of per kilometer.
They also demanded the authorities fix the problem of less scale of ration in PHH categories while alleging that they have detected that a bag of 4kg atta actually weighs 3.800 grams.
Besides president of the Association, others who leading the protest were Ajay Gupta (vice-president), Anyat Ullah (senior vice-president), Jagdish Sharma (member), Krishan Lal (general secretary), Yash Pal (member) and Kuldeep Raj (member).
