UDHAMPUR, Oct 1: Court of Principal Session Judge, Udhampur has convicted a rape accused and served him imprison of eight years besides a fine of Rs 75 thousands, which shall be paid to the victim.
The convict, namely Ashish Rajput, son of Rajinder Singh of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur has been served rigorous imprisonment of eight years and fine of Rs 50000/- for the commission of offence under Section 376 RPC, along with three years imprisonment and fine of Rs 25000/- for the commission of offence under Section 363 RPC and six months imprisonment and Rs 10000 as fine for the case registered vide FIR number 113/2015 U/S 342, 363, 376 RPC of PS Udhampur.
Out of this total fine amount, Rs 75000/- shall be paid to the victim as compensation.
