KATHUA, Nov 24: A rangoli making and painting competition was organised on the 6th day of the ongoing week long events under National Integration Week organised by NSS Units of Government Degree College, Kathua.
NSS volunteers participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. 12 groups of volunteers depicted their imaginations with colours in the form of beautiful Rangolis. 10 volunteers also brushed their ideas on canvas during the painting competition.  Teachers, NSS volunteers, and students of the college witnessed this colourful event.
The rangoli competition was judged by Prof Sandeep Singh, Prof Ajmair Singh Sodhi and Prof Amardeep Kour. First prize in rangoli competition was won by Vidushi, Sunandini and group. Manu, Atika and group were adjudged second while third position was shared by Sanjogita, Kajal and group and Bhaskar, Shriya and group. The parallel painting competition was judged by Dr Suram Singh, Dr Arun Dev Singh, and Prof Kailash Sharma.
In the painting competition first prize was secured by Rahul Sharma while second and third prizes were won by Shubani Kumari and Mohit Sharma respectively. During the past days activities the NSS Volunteers realized the theme of national integration and have brought to forth that National Integration starts at the hearts of people. Under its banner NSS has been able to bring together students from different grouos of society which truly represents the essence of National Integration and communal harmony.
