JAMMU, Nov 24: Three day long All India Art Exhibition organized by J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) in collaboration with Annex Arts Group, Patiala, Punjab concluded at Kala Kendra, here today.
On the occasion, VK Sambyal, Station Director, Radio Kashmir was the chief guest, while as MS Zahid, Director, Museums, Archives and Archeology was guest of honour and Soujanya Sharma, Secretary, Kala Kendra was special guest.
About one hundred paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphic prints and photographs by sixty two artists from different states of the country were displayed in the show.
While speaking, OP Sharma, Director, JKCCA apprised the guests about the activities and achievements of JKCCA working for the promotion of art, culture and literature in and outside the State.
Intellectuals and art lovers attended the function and interacted with the participating artists.
Different styles and techniques were visible in this show. The artists, who participated were Prabhinder Lall from Chandigarh who is the recipient of many prestigious awards and Senior Fellowship of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Jang S Verman, a veteran artist and inveterate experimenter with techniques and materials, creative photographs of Anil Saraf, a veteran photo-artist, landscapes of OP Sharma, Manoj Chopra, Dr Mamta Singh, Mala Chawla, Late Gobind Kaur, Behari Lal Parwana and the young artists like Sukhmeet Kaur, Vandana, Gayatri Kotwal, Jayaditya Kotwal, Shiveta Pandit, Dimple Kumar, Jasbeer Singh, Jaswant Singh Sultanpuri, Barinder Kaur, Babita, etc.
Sambyal in his speech said that such big shows will certainly add to the art and cultural treasure of the State.
