Rajput Sabha demands representation in PSC

JAMMU, June 25: Shree Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha in a meeting chaired by Thakur Pavitar Singh, Sabha president expressed resentment against non-inclusion of community member in recently announced six members of Public Service Commission (PSC).
Speakers in the meeting claimed that Rajput community is the second largest community in J&K with exceptionally nationalist people who have rendered big sacrifices in defending the nation.
While addressing the meeting Pavitar Singh claimed that J&K Lieutenant Governor during a meeting with Rajput Sabha delegation had assured that a Rajput community member shall be considered as his Advisor.
He further said that the imbalance in representation of the community in PSC shall brew resentment which shall send a wrong signal in society.
“We request the LG administration to include a member of our community in PSC so that balanced representation is reflected,” Pavitar Singh maintained.
Kuljeet Singh, Ravi Singh, Pawan Singh, Rakesh Singh, Ashish Katoch, M.S Katoch and others were also present in the meeting.
