JAIPUR, Sept 6: Chief Minister (CM) of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government is working towards providing good governance to the common people with commitment and today, the public welfare schemes of Rajasthan are being discussed across the country.
Gehlot was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new plant and other development works of Bhilwara Milk Union at Gulabpura in Bhilwara today. He said that the State Government has worked with commitment for the upliftment of farmers and cattle herders. The result of this is that today Rajasthan has come to the first place in milk production.
The CM said that free internet-enabled smartphones are being distributed to women through the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana. He said that common people have been given the right to health by making a law in the State while social security pension of minimum Rs 1000 per month is being given to 1 crore people. He said through the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh and accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh is being made available to the common man.
On the occasion, Gehlot announced the designation of Livestock Assistant as Livestock Inspector, special project allowance of Rs 5,000 per month to first class veterinary officers and special hard duty allowance of Rs 500 for Livestock Assistant, Livestock Extension Officer. He also inaugurated the CM’s Kamdhenu Animal Insurance Scheme under which free insurance of Rs 40 thousand each is being given to two milch animals per family and the premium for the same will be paid by the State Government.
Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge said that Chiranjeevi Bima Yojana, Right to Health, Minimum Income Guarantee, Separate Agriculture Budget, Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, Indira Rasoi Yojana, OPS restoration, gas cylinder for Rs 500, free smartphone from public welfare schemes like Today Rajasthan has become the best model of poor welfare and social justice in the country.
Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat said that more than 90 percent of the announcements made by the State Government have been implemented while former Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasara said that the State Government has continuously taken decisions in the interest of farmers.
Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr CP Joshi, Education Minister BD Kalla, Agriculture Minister Lalchand Kataria, PHED Minister Dr Mahesh Joshi, Cow Husbandry Minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Public Works Minister Bhajan Lal were present at the ceremony.
