JAMMU, Sept 6: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh inaugurated the JIC Interrogation Centre and a CCTV Control Room in Rajouri today.
During his visit, he engaged with Village Defence Committee (VDC) members and unveiled a book.
DGP Singh, accompanied by ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh, IGP CRPF Sandeep Khirwar, DIG CRPF Ops Jammu Rakesh Sathi, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Dr Haseeb Mughal, AIG (Training/Policy) JS Johar, and SSP Rajouri Amritpal Singh, also checked on the health of personnel injured in the Reasi encounter at the Army Hospital.
While at the CCTV control room, DGP Singh emphasized meticulous monitoring of suspect movements in the area, highlighting that such facilities enhance the efficiency of the J&K Police.
Later, the DGP released a comprehensive book on terrorism compiled by DIG Dr Haseeb Mughal, covering terror-related data since the inception of terrorism in the RP range.
In the afternoon, DGP Singh visited the Army hospital in Rajouri to inquire about the well-being of the personnel wounded in the Reasi encounter.
He also took the opportunity to meet with the injured personnel’s family members.
