JAMMU, Mar 27: The residents of Vinayak Nagar Sector-3, near Hanuman Mandir (Ward No-67), Muthi are facing multiple problems in absence of proper drainage system in the area.
According to a handout issued here, the residents said that heavy rains have created havoc in Vinayak Nagar and surrounding area as some houses have totally submerged in water.
The Vinayak Nagar Welfare Committee in a meeting has appealed the authorities of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to visit the area and initiate work for proper drainage system in order to save the inhabitants from further sufferings.
“Many houses are water-logged in the area and it is very difficult to go outside our houses for bringing necessary household commodities,” Committee added.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Sanjeev Chalotra, Ramesh Kumar Bhat, Pran Nath Bhat, Durga Nath Koul and Pran Nath Dassi.
