JAMMU, Apr 2: AICC (I) vice president and Congress star campaigner Rahul Gandhi is arriving here on April 6 to address an election rally at Udhampur in favour of Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and Congress candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The Congress leaders would in a day or two decide the venue of the election meeting in Udhampur, which would be either Stadium or Mini Stadium.
This would be first election rally of any national level Congress leader during current Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP Prime Ministerial candidate has started his election rallies from Hiranagar in Kathua district in same Udhampur-Doda constituency in favour of party candidates Dr Jitendra Singh (Udhampur-Doda) and Jugal Sharma (Jammu-Poonch) on March 26 after paying obeisance to Goddess Vaishno Devi ji.
Official sources said Rahul will return to New Delhi after addressing the rally at Udhampur. He is not scheduled to address any rally in Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat.
