SUCHETGARH, Apr 2: Former Minister and PCC general secretary R S Chib today addressed series of meetings at Chakmulo, Talhar, Sherechak, Panjgrain and Jangwal and warned the electorate of Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency to be vigilant against the communal and false campaign of BJP.
Mr. Chib while addressing public said that the BJP is trying to mislead the people on the name of “Modi” in the country, which is totally misleading and malicious campaign launched by communal and fundamentalist elements associated with BJP. He reminded the people of the slogan of the BJP of 2009 Lok Sabha elections, when a similar false and baseless campaign was launched by them with the slogan of “India-Shining” and ultimately the party was defeated badly.
He recalled the glorious history of Congress and sacrifices made by the top leaders of the past and asked the people to vote for Madan Lal Sharma, INC-NC candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency.
Mr. Chib while highlighting the achievements of Mr Sharma said that he was instrumental along with other senior Congress leaders, in raising the issue of refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 and West Pakistan, under the direction and guidance of Ghulam Nabi Azad and Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, president JKPCC.
The others who spoke included Ch. Mahinder Singh, Gurbachan Saini, Darshan Lal, Kamal Singh, S. Jeet Singh, Dr. Pritam Saini, Onkar Singh, Jeet Raj and Sita Ram-Sarpanch Talhar.
