Radio Sharda, NCSTC organize health awareness camp

JAMMU, June 12: A health awareness camp about the diet and health of women was organized by Radio Sharda and NCSTC at Durga Nagar near here today.
The camp was held under the guidance of Dr Jyoti Hak Gynecologist and Associate Professor GMC Jammu, Rashim Deepika Treasury Officer was the chief guest while Principal Vishwabarti Ms Anupurnema, Yoga teacher Phoola Koul, Pretiba Sopori and Manju Raina were the guests of honour.
Speaking of the occasion, Dr Jyoti Hak called upon the ladies to eat nutritious food instead of huge quantities which can cause obesity and other disorders at later stage resulting in health problems. She stressed upon all participants to do physical exercise and routine work at home as it keeps a person fit and in a sound health. Dr Hak also gave socio psycho counseling on certain women diseases and disorders.
Earlier Ms Neelam Razdan Wali the coordinator, NCSTc Department of Science and Technology, highlighted the role of Radio Sharda which broadcasts programmes for the ladies pertaining to their health and nutrition.
Reshim Deepika Thsoo asked the participants to be stress free and do exercise for keeping body fit with sound mind. She said that these awareness camps will have an impact on the society.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Ramesh Hangloo founder Director of Radio Sharda. He highlighted the role of Bharatiya Yog Sanstha. The programme was organized by P K Raina, Vijay Koul, K K Koul, Adarsh Anand and Sujata Phalwan.
