JTC for permanent rehabilitation of Pandits in Valley

JAMMU, June 12: A meeting was held by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) today at Jagti Nagrota under the leadership of Shadi Lal Pandita its president.
Pandita, while addressing the meeting has said that the Government has failed to rehabilitate the displaced Pandit community in Kashmir valley. He demanded that the Government should initiate proceedings for ensuring permanent rehabilitation of this migrant community in Kashmir valley in the Satellite township.
Padita  said that non-camp relief holders are without ration from March 2017 to June 2017. He warned Government should provide ration to non-camp migrants immediately and also camp migrants at Jagti Purkhoo, Muthi, TRT Nagrota for the months of May & June. If Govt failed to provide ration to migrants the JTC will start agitation.
He  also demanded implementation of Prime Minister’s employment package in letter and spirit by filling the remaining posts under this package announced long back in 2008.
Besides compensation for the damages suffered by the migrant community during past 27 years of migration due to damages to their properties in Kashmir valley be paid, he added.
Pandita stressed on ensuring cash assistance and ration as per the DBT forms already filled by the relief holders besides, the cash assistance be enhanced to the tune of Rs. 25000/- per month keeping in view the price hike.
He also demanded revival of RBA Certificates which have been deferred for past long time putting the genuine youth hailing from Reserved Backward Areas of Kashmir valley to difficulties and depriving them of the benefits of this category.
