Radio Kashmir Jammu gets Public Service Broadcasting Award

JAMMU, Nov 12:  Radio Kashmir Jammu has won the prestigious `Gandhian Philosophy and Public Service Broadcasting’ award for its programme `Jeevan Rekha’.
`Jeevan Rekha’ programme was based on the live broadcasts done by Radio Kashmir Jammu in the wake of flood situation in the State. It was the programme on rescue operations carried by Radio Kashmir Jammu during enormous floods in the region.
This Award was instituted in 2001 to commemorate the only visit of Father of The Nation Mahatma Gandhi to the Studios of AIR at Broadcasting House, New Delhi on November 12, 1947. This award has now become an annual feature and this year it goes to the entry of Radio Kashmir Jammu.
This award is given to the Best Programmes produced on Gandhian Philosophy and Public Services Programmes by AIR & Doordarshan.
“Jeevan Rekha” (lifeline) is a production of Sanjeev Sharma, Programme Executive. It was written by Nitish Arora, Programme Executive. The other members of the team included, Programme Executives Anjana Badyal, Sumit Sharma and Rajesh Gupta.
