Quake jolts J&K

JAMMU, May 28: A low intensity earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Jammu and Kashmir this morning.
Tremors felt across the Union Territory thus triggering panic.
The tremors were felt at 11:19 am as 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit the region, said an IMD official.
He said that the earthquake was at the latitude 36.56 degrees north and longitude 71.13 degrees east with a depth of 220 KM.
He added that Afghanistan was the epicenter.
“No injury or major damage has been reported so far from any part of Jammu and Kashmir,” the official added.
