PSC Lecturers raise issue of stagnation, other demands

JAMMU, Jan 23: A meeting of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association Jammu was held at Ranbir Higher Secondary School Parade Jammu for highlighting the issues and demands of the cadre.
The meeting was chaired by its provincial president Manjeet Chib and attended by all central body and district body members who deliberated over the issues of +2 cadre.
Members of the association raised serious concern over the issue of stagnation being faced by the cadre. Chib informed the house that following the GAD direction to all administrative departments to submit proposal of career progression, Principal Secretary School Education Department has forwarded the proposal to GAD and a favourable outcome is expected soon. He informed that the association had recently met with Piyush Singla, the GAD Administrative Secretary and urged him to address the problem of stagnation once for all.
Chib asked the members to plead their case by means of sincere and consistent efforts. He also said that number of times memorandums for ACP were also submitted to LG Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh.
Besides, the issues discussed in the meeting include creation of Vice Principal post, screening test for further promotion to the post of lecturers, non vacational status to Principal and initiating special transfer drive to 2016-2017 batch lecturers particularly of those serving in hard zone far last many years. The need of establishment Clubs at both provincial headquarters i.e, Jammu & Kashmir for the welfare of the fraternity was also discussed.
Sandeep Sharma, Chief Co-ordinator of the Central Body conducted proceedings of the meeting while Sanjeev Gupta (Chief Organizer) presented vote of thanks. Others who spoke, included Rishi Manhas, Brij Nandan Singh, Sohil Riyaz, Atul Rasyal, Swaran Singh, Dr Sanjay Arora, Jaffar Hussain, Sunil Kumar, Asharaf Bali, Zakir Hussain and Dr Nazim.
