PRP cautions people against elements inimical to peace

SRINAGAR, Oct 12: The one day conference of Peoples Republican Party (PRP) was held here, today in which grave concern was expressed over the deteriorating situation in the State which is causing a threat o the unity and integrity of the State.
The conference which was chaired by chief spokesperson of the Party, Mir Ghulam Rasool appealed the people of the State to maintain the communal amity, peace and brotherhood which has been our tradition and defeat the designs of those forces who are inimical to peace and unity of the State.
The conference through a resolution said that J&K has always championed the cause of the secularism and the people of the Sate kept an example during 1947 when entire nation was engulfed by communal clashes. The meeting expressed the hope that people will continue to defeat the designs of communal and vested elements this time again and continue a struggle against the poverty, hunger, diseases and illiteracy.
The meeting accused the government of its failure in fulfilling the promises made during elections and alleged that the flood victims have been left in lurch. It said the price rise and corruption have been cause of concern for the common man and the people should struggle to fight against this menace which is eating up the vitals of the society.
The resolution resolved to fight against the communal forces, work for unity among the different sections of society, fight for the cause of poor and neglected people of the society and seek justice for flood victims and oppressed and suppressed people of the State.
