Provide relief to border migrants: Bhim Singh

NEW DELHI, Jan 12: Chief patron of J&K National Panthers Party Prof Bhim Singh has urged the State Governor N N Vohra to provide immediate relief to the border migrants and their rehabilitation at the safer places.
In a press statement issued today, Prof Singh said that due to harsh winter conditions, the border migrants were facing lot of hardships. The facilities being provided to them in schools and other Govt building in Jammu, Samba and Kathua border belt were not sufficient. These people should be provided tents as window-panes of many school rooms were broken. Due to lack of proper beddings and clothing, besides food stuff, they are facing number of miseries.
The NPP leader also demanded that these hapless people living in temporary shelters under such chilling winter conditions should also be provided free Medical treatment. These people have been forced to leave their homes due to Pakistani shelling. He demanded that process of providing 5 marla plots to these border families be expedited.
He also demanded that Jammu migrants be provided free relief/ ration as per Supreme Court directions  which included 9 kg ration per person, 10 ltr kerosene oil per family per month, cash Rs 200 per person per month and free medical aid to all the displaced persons. He alleged that Jammu migrants have been denied their right due to confusion created by bureaucracy.
