JAMMU, Jan 12: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Vice-Chairperson today appreciated the role played by police officials in proactively assisting the JDA in its drive against the illegal encroachers and violators of BOCA, which ultimately led to the retrieval of hundreds of kanals of land.
Vice-Chairperson Sushma Chauhan personally handed over citations of appreciation to Station House Officer (SHO), Bari Brahmana, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, Chowki Officer, Pouni Chak, SI Vikram Manhas and then Chowki Officer, Pouni Chak, SI Shamim Ahmed in a function held at JDA.

The VC further added that High Court has recently ordered a time-bound demarcation of JDA land, which will further require a more than proactive support of the Police Department. The other officers of JDA including the Director Land Management, Secretary JDA, Chief Town Planner were present on the occasion.
