JAMMU, June 11: Protest by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) entered 206th day here today.
The protest is being led by Shadi Lal President JTC & SKF.
While speaking, Shadi Lal said that the UT and Centre Governments should redress their demands as soon as possible.
He also expressed concern over the power cuts in ongoing hot weather conditions, which is creating problems for the people especially children and old age people.
“Due to power cuts, the water supply is also disturbed, which has added woes among the residents of Jagti Township”, he added.
He demanded increase in monthly cash assistance of Kashmiri migrant relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000, 25,000 jobs for migrant unemployed youth, three satellite townships in District Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag, compensation of property loss in Kashmir, etc.
Among others present were Raj Kumar Tickoo Unit President of JTC, Ravinder Koul, ML Razdan, Rakesh Ambardar, Sunil Koul, Raj Kumar Bhat, Rakesh Tickoo, Vinod Bhat, Kamal Pandita, etc.
