Protest against black-marketing of ration, kerosene oil

JAMMU, Apr 25: Large number of residents including women and children held protest with the empty utensils urging State Government to supply regular essential commodities to them.
The protest demonstration was led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement against the Director CAPD, alleging that Jammu has no kerosene oil, no sugar, no atta at ration depots and black marketing of ration is going on and demanded and for the proper implementation of the National Food Security Act in the State. On the occasion, the effigy of the Directorate Jammu, CAPD was burnt and slogans were raised in support of their demands.
Dimple alleged that Government announced to provide atta 10 kg per member but no atta is being given and the Government is giving only 7 Kg atta to the members of the family.
He also demanded immediate solution to the issue and restore the supply of sugar supply at ration depots.
Dimple held talks with the Director CAPD and served him 24 hours ultimatum to restore the kerosene oil, atta, ration supply.
Others present on the occasion were Rajinder Sharma,  Kanta Devi, Polie Rani, Seema, Koushalya Devi, Tripta, Sunita Devi, Baby, Poonam Rani, Sham Saroop, Harbans Tandon, Vinod Suri, Som Nath Sharma and S Randhier Singh Bali.
