POWERGRID signs MoU with DC Gurugram for providing medical equipments

NEW DELHI, Feb 15: As a CSR initiative, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) today signed an MoU with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gurugram for providing financial assistance towards procurement of medical equipment viz. Neonatal Ventilators and ABG Machines for District Hospitals in Gurugram, Faridabad and Mewat districts of Haryana.
The agreement was signed by Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Gurugram and Vinayak Chauhan, Senior GM (CSR), POWERGRID. Vinod Prakash Baxla, Senior DGM (HR), POWERGRID and Gaurav Singh, Additional CEO, Haryana State CSR Trust and other senior officials were also present at the event.
Protection from Covid-19 and general well-being along with safety and health of the citizens of Haryana is the top priority of the Government right now. In this regard, there is a dire need of medical equipment in the Government Hospitals of various districts of Haryana. Therefore, providing of these Neonatal Ventilators and ABG Machines in these districts will help in saving the lives of the critical patients needing immediate specialized medical treatment.
As a responsible Corporate Citizen, POWERGRID has been embarking upon several initiatives in the health sector under its CSR initiatives, this project being another milestone in POWERGRID’s mission of improving health and medical infrastructure in the country.
