KISHTWAR, May 5: Police in collaboration with Excise Department destroyed poppy crop in Link road and Nagani areas here today.
As per police sources, a joint team of District Police Kishtwar and Excise Department headed by Excise Inspector Tausif Ahmed and assisted by Incharge police post Hidyal SI Sandeep Aryan and SI of Excise Department Subash Chander under the supervision of SSP Sandeep Wazir and DC Excise Mohammad Shahid Salim conducted raid in Link Road and Nagani area of the district.
During the raid, the team destroyed poppy plants cultivated on 2 kanals of land.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
