KISHTWAR, May 5: A deputation of surplus teachers of District Kishtwar under the leadership of ERTU president, Akhter Giri, met MoS Transport, Science and Technology, Sunil Kumar Sharma and discussed the burning issue of surplus teachers.
Giri apprised the Minister that all norms have been violated during the procedure of clubbing of schools as a result of which several teachers have been deprived of their posts and are facing the problem of withdrawal of salary due to non availability of post and head. He said that a committee was framed by CEO Kishtwar vide no CEO/k/2015-16/728 Dt: 11-4-2016 and the same was submitted to DSE Jammu for redressel but nothing positive has come out till date.
After giving patient hearing, the Minister assured that the problem of surplus teachers will be solved on priority and he telephonically directed Director School Education Jammu to intervene personally in the matter, so that the surplus teachers may not suffer any more for the want of salary.
