KATHUA, May 6: The irate students of Government Polytechnic Barnoti blocked the Jammu-Pathankote National Highway for 20 minutes this morning in protest against the Government for not constructing a Government building to house the polytechnic and for shortage of faculty.
The protestors’ raising slogans against the authorities alleged that due to shortage of faculty in the college their career is at stake. They warned to launch agitation in case the demand was not met immediately.
However, later the highway blockade was lifted on the intervention of senior officers.
