JAMMU, Dec 6: Police today foiled the attempt of VHP and BD activists to take out a procession in connection with Shoriya Divas in the city.
A large number of BD and VHP activists had assembled at Shakti Dal Ashram Rehari the Head Office of VHP where form they had to take out the procession in the city. However a large number of police was deployed in front of the office who did not allow BD and VHP activists to move ahead.
As the activists also did not want to take any confrontation with the police so they decided to celebrate the occasion inside the Ashram by distributing sweets among the people as well as policemen.
The BD workers who were leading the victory celebrations included Sanjay Kumar , Rakesh Kumar, Dr Adarsh Parihar, Shakti Singh, Pawan Kumar, Kartik Sudan, Deepak Sharma and Sunil Kumar.
