JAMMU, May 24: In order to assist the needy children of Udhampur and its surrounding areas for accelerating in their studies and preparing for competitive examinations, Udhampur Police on the directions of Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur distributed books to the needy students of Govt. HSS Chenani, Udhampur.
Rajinder Kumar Katoch, Additional SP Udhampur distrributed the books to needy children in the presence of Principal Satya Chaudhary, lecturers, teachers, school students and prominent citizens of Chenani.
In addition to academic study books, study material for competitive exams was also distributed to the needy students to assist them in preparing for competitive examinations.
Katoch, while speaking on the occasion, laid emphasis on the importance of education and competitive spirit in the life of a human being and especially students. He encouraged the students to work hard with great zeal and dedication to achieve desirous goals.
