JAMMU, Nov 21: All India backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cheated the OBCs of erstwhile J&K state by now allowing the Indian Constitution and National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) to enter the newly created J&K UT.
“Creation of J&K UT in the present form after abrogation of Article 370 can only be termed as ‘unacceptable transformation’ where no central rules have been allowed to enter,” said Abdul Majid Malik, president of AIBCU, while addressing a press conference here today.
Malik said that the BJP’s much hyped claim to free the J&K state from Kashmir leadership under Article 370 is exposed in J&K UT where the rules of reservation made by the then treacherous rulers of the State are acceptable to BJP even after abrogation of Article 370.
He said the present form of abrogation of Article 370 seems to be mutual understanding of Kashmiri leaders and the BJP Government at Centre otherwise after abrogation of Article 370 all central laws including National Commission for Backward Classes must have entered the J&K UT automatically like the other UTs where RBA, ALC and LoC reservations stand nowhere.
“Not only this, PM and BJP had reneged over the OBC census, once in 2014 in his first NITI AYOG meeting and for second time before 2019 Lok Sabha elections but after the win of Lok Sabha elections, BJP again backed out of its promise,” Malik added.
The AIBCU president said that partial abrogation of Article 370 has lost the trust of the majority of the people on PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Dr Jitendra Singh, the main players to stop the Indian Constitution and NCBC to enter in J&K UT.
Meanwhile, the AIBCU announced its youth body, which comprises of Mushtaq Ahmed Sadiqui of Poonch as president, Mohd Rafi of Doda as secretary and Gulam Nabi Kumar of Budgam as joint secretary. Besides, Rakesh Kumar was announced as president of district Kathua.
