Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum highlights demands

JAMMU, June 7: A meeting of newly elected body of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its president Kiranjeet Kour to highlight its demands.
The speakers expressed their concern in delay of salaries to the Education employees working at different places as they are without pay for the last six months. The meeting strongly advocated for extending the benefit of “Running Pattern” to the cadre as per SRO 225.
The other demands highlighted by the Forum are non vocational status of the Principals, rationalized and transparent transfer policy, promotion of Lecturers, Senior Lecturers, Principals and also regularization of in-charge officers along with implementation of Government Order No- 252.
The newly elected president also reviewed the overall scenario in the Education Department with special focus on academic excellence, ways to improve the enrollment and passing percentage in 12th class examination.
She requested the cadre to give their 100 percent attention toward the students to achieve the goal of 100 percent result to improve the academic process.
Besides, district presidents, a large number of members of the Forum attended the meeting. Those who spoke in the meeting include Dr Sushma, RS Slathia, Anil Sharma, Sanjay Bhagat, Charan Dass, Narinder Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Jyoti Parkash, Deepak Sharma and various district presidents.
