PIL regarding ban on PUBG game disposed of

JAMMU, Nov 2: Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Rashid Ali Dar has disposed of PIL regarding ban on online access to PUBG game with a direction to the petitioners to approach the respondents for the redressal of grievance along with all relevant documents.
“Upon receipt of such a request from the petitioners, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in respect thereto expeditiously, of course, in accordance with the law and the rules governing the field”, the DB said.
Earlier, Assistant Solicitor General of India (ASGI) submitted that the subject matter of the PIL was directly related to the Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. But the authority has not been impleaded as a party respondent in the petition by the petitioners.
“In case the petitioners feel the need to approach the Secretary Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for the redressal of the grievances projected by them in this PIL, the authority shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the law and the rules governing the field”, the DB said.
