PHE employees condemn Govt for releasing only 17 days wages

Excelsior Correspondent
UDHAMPUR, July 16: PHE Employees Association in its emergent meeting under the chairmanship of Som Nath, district Udhampur president and senior vice president of the association for Jammu province condemned the Government for releasing the wages of 17 days workers who are without pay for the past over 28 months, that too on the eve of Eid.
Mr Som Nath also criticized all such leaders who were appreciating the Government for releasing pea-nuts in place of their hard earned dues. He appealed all the CP, ITI and daily wagers of the PHE Department to save themselves from such so-called leaders and hold joint protests at their respective district headquarters on July 22, 2015 against discrimination meted out to them.
He said it was an irony that while all daily rated workers in Kashmir were getting minimum wages of Rs 4500 per month as against Rs 500, Rs1000, Rs 1500 and Rs 2000 per month that too was not being paid to them regularly. Mr Som Nath said the leaders of Jammu province should take up the matter in Legislative Assembly to put an end to the prevailing discrimination.
Association general secretary Vijay Kumar while addressing stated that workers have been left with no other option than to adopt the path of agitation to get their demands conceded by the Government.
Others present in the meeting included Suraj Parkash, Subash Chander, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Kartar Chand, Balbir Singh, Jabber Singh, Barf Singh etc.
