KATHUA, Sept 6: The casual laborers and daily wagers of PHE Department held massive demonstrations in front of the Divisional offices of Civil and Mechanical Divisions of PHE here, today in support of their demands.
The protesters shouting slogans against the PHE authorities demanded immediate release of their pending wages. They said that the daily wagers and casual labourers of the department are at the verge of starvation as the authorities have failed to release their wages for months together.
They also criticized the Government for its failure in regularizing the daily wagers working in the department for over last seven years despite making repeated promises in this regard.
