Hanifa Jan joins NC

KARGIL, Sept 6: Haji Mohammad Hanifa Jan, former Chairman LAHDC Kargil,  along with  his associates and prominent worker of PDP’s women wing,  Parveen Akhtar,  today  formally joined  National Conference in presence of the party’s provisional president Kashmir,  Nasir Aslam Wani (Sogami) at a function held at Tourist Facilitation Center Bemathang, here.
Speaking on the occasion, Haji Hanifa Jan said he had been observing the functioning of the NC for long and it was the only political party that worked for the interests of the poor, marginalised and backward communities in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Kargil district.
Addressing the gathering,  Nasir Aslam Wani welcomed Haji Hanifa Jan and his supporter and prominent PDP’s women worker  Parveen Akhtar into party fold and said that it with every passing day,  large number of people from all the three region of Jammu and Kashmir were  becoming part of NC and reposing their faith in the party’s ideology and agenda. He further said that National Conference symbolizes unity and solidarity of Jammu and Kashmir and public service is its political agenda.
Chief spokesperson and MLA Badgam, Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, while addressing the gathering, hoped that the entry of Haji Hanifa Jan and his associates in NC, would further strengthen the party base in Kargil district. He also urged party workers to strengthen cadres at all levels and reach out to masses and win their confidence.
The gathering was also address by  former Ministers Qamar Ali Akhoon and  Feroz Ahmad Khan, NC district president Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan and others.
Earlier on their arrival, Nasir Sogami and Syed Ruhullah Mehdi were  accorded a rousing reception by NC unit Kargil at Chanigund.
