JAMMU, May 6: Acting on the complaints regarding contaminated water, Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department has appealed to the people to drink boiled water.
According to JK Sharma, Executive Engineer, PHE Department, City Division the Department received complaints of contaminated water supply from Choughan Salathia, Pakki Dhakki and Kucha Nahar Singh areas.
After getting complaints, the Department started work for rectification of the problem, he said.
“It may take some time to rectify the problems and the inhabitants of the said areas are advised to drink water after boiling it till problem is rectified completely”, he added.
