JAMMU, May 3: Director Industries & Commerce Anoo Malhotra, while speaking in a programme organised by Jammu Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry on “Challenges and Way Forward for Jammu Industry Post COVID-19”, discussed the issues faced by the industry of Jammu minutely and assured that she would take up these issues with the Task Force of concerned Ministry.
Sr Vice President PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry Sanjay Aggarwal, Vice President Pradeep Multani, former President Anil Khaitan, Principal Director Ranjeet Mehta, Director Mallika Verma, Jammu State Chapter Chairman Rakesh Wazir, Co-Chairman Rahul Sahai, Vikrant Kuthiala, Mentor Kashmir Chapter Mushtaq Chaya, Baldev Singh Raina, Kuldip Gupta and others attended the video conference.
Anoo Malhotra said that the Industries Department of Jammu will provide every kind of help to industrial units with necessary permissions and relaxations whatever is possible within the ambit of SOP of MHA guidelines. She enlightened the participants that as on date 1487 permissions have been given to various industrial units and 16000 workers have been mobilised and out of that around 7000 are residing within industrial estates.
Sanjay Aggarwal highlighted the issues and challanges faced by the industry and way forward for Jammu industry.
Pradeep Multani suggested Director Industries to collaborate with PHDCCI for investors summit in J&K. He also suggested to promote Ayush, Ayurvedic medicine manufacturing in J&K.
Rakesh Wazir, Chairman Jammu Chapter, demanded waiver of electricity charges, re-imbursement of GST, working capital to service sector, bearing of share of PF and ESI by the Government, providing of financial packages for the losses which have occurred due to this lock down, inter state and inter district movement of construction and other material and load carriers etc.
Anil Khaitan sought proper action plan for the start of the businesses and waiver of fixed electricity charges etc. Mushtaq Chaya, Baldev Singh Raina, Vikrant Kuthiala raised issues of service sector/Hospitality Industry and other allied industries.
Rahul Sahai, Co-chairman Jammu, suggested that a list of industries which are permitted be provided so that data will be shared within industry and they may carry out industrial business within the functional industries. Mallika Verma, Director PHDCCI moderated the session and shared her inputs on the same.
