Srinagar, Sept 24: Several pharmacies of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district today protested against Power Development Department (PDD) for their failure in providing them continuous electricity supply.
The protestors said that due to the callousness of the PDD they are facing tough times and that their business is getting badly affected.
The Association of the chemists and druggists said that they have been bringing the issue into the notice of the concerned, however, they said, the problem has not been resolved as yet.
They said that certain life-saving drugs are to be kept cool, but in the absence of electricity they are not able to do it.
The protestors warned that if the issue is not resolved within a week, they will be forced to take harsh steps. They also appealed the higher-ups to take note of the issue.
