KATHUA, June 18: The irate residents of Challan area of Ramkote tehsil in Kathua district held a massive protest against the water scarcity in the area.
The protest was led by NC Block president Bansi Lal Gupta. The protesters blocked the local road and did not allow any vehicle to ply demanding immediate restoration of water supply.
They also warned to intensify agitation in case the water supply was not restored immediately. They said that the water supply in the area was hit for last over two days putting the people to many hardships and their pleas to PHE authorities have not yielded any result.
