JAMMU, Mar 29: Continuing their protest against opening of wine shop in their locality, residents of Greater Kailash held strong protest demonstration for the second consecutive day on Tuesday and blocked the road for three hours.
Shouting slogans, they were demanding immediate shifting of the newly opened liquor shop from the area. They also announced an indefinite protest and decided to block National Highway tomorrow if the authorities do not order immediate shifting of the shop.
The protesting people comprised mostly women of the Greater Kailash area, who also threatened to gherao the office of concerned authorities if no action is taken on their demand.
After assembling near the shopping complex, these people marched towards the wine shop location and staged a dharna there. They blocked the road and disrupted vehicular movement.
