PDP led Govt working to carve out new path of growth: Rangil

JAMMU, May 5: Reiterating commitment of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to provide pro-people governance to mitigate miseries of the common masses, vice president of party, S Rangil Singh today said that one month tenure of Mehbooba Mufti, as Chief Minister, has set up a new standard of accountable and pro-people governance in the State.
He said that during the last one month, Mehbooba Mufti, as head of the coalition regime, has taken many revolutionary steps, which are going to address grievances of the people and to solve their problems.
Addressing one day convention of Jammu district (Urban) of the party here this morning, former minister, Sardar Rangil Singh said that within tenure of just one month, Mehbooba Mufti has proved herself as an efficient administrator, whose priority is to address grievances of the people by quick action.
“One month is very small tenure to judge performance of a Government but the coalition regime headed by Mehbooba Mufti has proved, within this small period, that the Government is working with commitment and dedication to carve out a new path of balanced and equitable development in the State to ensure intra and inter-regional harmony,” he said.
“This Government is carrying forward the pioneering welfare agenda initiated by the previous Government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, Singh said and added that during the last one month this Government has taken some major initiatives as a part of its response to the marginalized, disadvantaged and other sections of the society. He said that launching of the Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Food Entitlement Scheme (MMSFES) to supplement the National Food Security Act (NFSA) is historic  major welfare initiative announced by the Government during the last one month. He hoped that such schemes will improve socio-economic conditions of the weaker and neglected lot of the society.
Reiterating that PDP-BJP coalition is working with the fresh resolve to accomplish Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s unfinished agenda of peace, harmony and equitable development for Jammu and Kashmir, Singh said that this regime is working with sincerity and seriousness, reaching out to the people and providing them the much-needed relief.
President Mahila wing Vijay Dogra and senior leaders Ved Mahajan (Ex-MLC), Surinder Choudhary-MLC, TS Bajwa (Ex-MP), Shanti Devi (Ex-MLA), Daman Bhasin and VC of Advisory Board for SCs Bhushan Dogra also addressed the gathering.
