PDP leader’s brother arrested

JAMMU, Dec 11: Trikuta Nagar police yesterday arrested Uttam Singh Bajwa brother of former Rajya Sabha member and PDP leader Tarlok Singh Bajwa in connection with 2004 case pertaining to removal of a truck seized by the State Finance Corporation (SFC) and parked at Sweety Automobiles Yard, Narwal.
Police said the trucks had been seized by the SFC due to default in the payment in 2004. However, they said, both Bajwa brothers had forcibly taken the truck to Bari Barahamana and off loaded the LPG cylinders from it. Since then, the truck has not been traced.
Police had in 2004 registered a case FIR No. 30/2004 under Section 382 RPC at Trikuta Nagar police station against Bajwa brother.
Uttam Singh Bajwa was arrested yesterday and was bailed out by the court. However, Tarlok Singh Bajwa hasn’t been arrested so far.
