Mandeep, Rajinder adjudged best athlete in women, men’s category

JAMMU, Dec 11: Two-day State Open Athletic Championship organized by State Open Athletic Championship at MA Stadium was declared closed by Sports Minister, Taj Moh-ud-Din.
About 400 boys and girls from 12 districts of the State participated in the Championship and the winners were awarded medals, trophies and certificates by the Minister.
Mandeep Kour daughter of Tarlok Singh of Jammu district, who secured 1st position in 100 m, 200m and 4×100 relay, was adjudged best athlete in women category.
Rajinder Kumar of J&K Police, who secured 1st position in Javelin Throw, was adjudged best athlete in men’s category.
In 4×100 m Relay (women’s category), Jammu district claimed 1st position, KC International, 2nd position and APS Kaluchak,3rd Position while in 4×100 m Relay (men’s category), J&K Police bagged 1st position, Jammu University got hold of 2nd position and Jammu district secured 3rd position.
Jai Kumar of J&K Police stood 1st in 100 m Relay in men’s category while Krishan of Samba district and Karnail Singh of Jammu district secured 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
In 200m Relay (men’s category), Mandeep Kour, Anjli Adikhri and Yogita Sharma, all of Jammu district bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively.
