JAMMU, Mar 10: Pahari Development Forum (PDF), Paddar (Kishtwar), under the chairmanship of Thakur Kartar Singh Rathore, senior District vice-president, National Conference and Chairman, Pahari Development Forum, Kishtwar, held a meeting at Vikas Nagar here, wherein the participants highlighted the problems faced by the people of Tehsil Paddar.
The Forum urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for early redressal of their genuine demands like opening of a Degree College, Sub-District Hospital, Munsiff Court and an Industrial Training Institute, Tourism Development Authority and early start of work of Karthie Hydro Electric Power Project and Sapphire Mine Work at Paddar.
The meeting also highlighted the demands like ST status for Paddar Valley people, special Police recruitment in the area and enhancement of salary of SPOs.
Moreover, the participants demanded early execution of work at Machail and Ligri roads under PMGSY and sanction of new link roads Jar, Suzzar, Chitto, Kabban, Ungaie and Gandhari.
Those who attended the meeting were Mool Raj Rathore, Gurdesh Sharma, Rishi Parihar, Om Raj, Prem Singh, Bishan Lal and many others.
