Jammu Aug 6 : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed concern over the attitude of the government towards the agitating Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers in the State and use of force on their peaceful protest.
A meeting of senior Congress leaders was held here today in which serious concern was expressed over the move of the Government, leading to unrest and agitation by the ReT teachers throughout the State. The meeting criticized the police action upon the employees being resorted to by the Government time and again which is condemnable.
Senior leaders urged the Government to initiate dialogue with the agitating teachers and shun the policies of confrontation and uncertainty which is affecting the working in the institutions.
The meeting was presided over by Sham Lal Sharma, senior vice president and attended by Raman Bhalla, Kanta Bhan, Ravinder Sharma, Balwan Singh, Rajnish Sharma, Manjit Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Manmohan Singh, Namrata Sharma and others.
