Pathania says democracy can’t run by demonising each other

RAMNAGAR, July 6: While taking a whirlwind tour of the area and taking first hand stock of the problems being faced by the public at large, MLA Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania addressed largely attended meetings at Ramnagar and villages Dallia, Rang, Blandh, Udhak, Chattriari, Kaitha, Katora.
While striking a chord for constructive politics, Pathania said that ‘National Interest’ is too sensitive an issue to play petty politics over it. He said that State is passing through a very sensitive phase and the immediate objective and collective effort of all political parties should be restoration of normalcy and smooth conduct of Sri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
Pathania alleged that  a handful of rejected and spent up political forces whose only material aim is to grab power, once voted out by the people, are disseminating negative and lopsided narratives.  “But for reiterating parrot cries for ‘dissolution of Assembly’ everyday and hollow and hallucinating issues, they lack clarity, uniformity in views, constructiveness and relevance,” he said.
Calling this as sheer opportunism and height of negative politics, Pathania advised such politicians that democracy can not run smoothly while we keep on demonising and denigrating each other. “Constructive politics and positive positioning is the need of the hour,” he added.
Addressing the public Pathania enumerated numerous welfare schemes launched by the present Govt led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asked public to come forward and reap benefits of the public oriented welfare programmes.
Earlier, Pathania assessed and reviewed prevailing situation due to torrential rains which have resulted in loss due to flash-floods and landslides and also caused enormous damage to Government as well as private infrastructure.
The MLA said that despite affirmative action from the Government, a massive civilian initiative was needed to tackle the ugly fixes every year. PMGSY has been  directed to ensure that all clogged roads be cleared and made through for traffic while  PDD and  PHE authorities have been  directed to take on war-footing the work of  early restoration of supply lines in urban as well as rural areas, he added.
