POONCH, July 6: A young woman jumped into Suran river and committed suicide in Surankote area of district Poonch this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kesra Bi (35), wife of Late Imam Din, resident of Kallar Kattal in tehsil Surankote. The locals told police that this woman jumped into the river near her village and washed away in the morning.
Later, the police and villagers started search for the body and managed to recover the same this afternoon about 7 kms downstream. The body was shifted to Surankote hospital for postmortem and then handed over to the family. The police has registered a case for investigation. The police suspects torture by in-laws family.
