SAMBA, May 2: MLA Ramnagar R S Pathania today visited historical lake of Mansar in district Samba and inaugurated several development works constructed by SMDA (Surinsar Mansar Development Authority) near the lake.
The works inaugurated by the MLA included approach steps to Santoshi Mata temple, construction of Rain Shelter Shed/View Point, Deep Drain near Shiv temple, Video Parlour/Games, Porta Cabins, etc. They were constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh under SMDA.
The MLA who was accompanied by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SMDA Vikas Gupta also inspected some more under construction works which are going on for the beautification of Mansar lake. Panchs, Sarpanchs and senior citizens from the adjoining areas were also present. CEO SMDA Vikas Gupta also informed the MLA about future planning for the development of this historical lake.
Mr Gupta said that SMDA is making the efforts for overall development of this historical and religious tourist place so that large number of tourists from all over the country will visit the famous Mansar and Surinsar lakes.
Mr Pathania also appreciated the efforts being taken by the SMDA in order to promote the famous Mansar and Surinsar tourist places.
