Pathania for proper rehabilitation of uprooted Rehri/Phari-owners

RAMNAGAR, Aug 12: While interacting with the group of Rehri-walas, Fari-Walas and shopkeepers affected by anti-encroachment drive being run jointly by Municipal, Revenue and Police authorities, MLA Ramnagar Ranbir Singh Pathania called for exercising restraint while carrying out anti-encroachment operation.
He further said that the anti-encroachment drive launched by the Government has been appreciated by one and all; however it should not result in snatching of bread and butter of the poor Rehri-walas. During the meeting, Tehsildar Ramnagar, SDPO Ramnagar, and Executive Municipal authorities were also present.
The MLA asked the administration to remain sensitive to the necessities of life and place and asked the administration to ensure that all genuine /reasonable displaced Rehri/Phari Walas are reasonably accommodated and rehabilitated.
Mr Pathania also took stock of the development indicators of drinking water, electricity, roads, ration supply etc at largely attended public meeting at Neeli, Sarail, Choa, Mansar. He assured the public that metalled road from Laray to Sumal road under nanotechnology has been sanctioned and work on it will be initiated shortly. He further said that stalemate with Wildlife authorities regarding Sarail-Choa road will be resolved and work on this road will be taken up soon.
He asked for submission of DPRs with respect to new electric sub-stations at Sarail, Majalta and Bhagat Mohalla Mansar. He also asked for starting work on Neeli to Dhat and Neeli to Jansal tractor roads. He asked for proper distribution of ration at Fair price shops with proper display of stock position and approved rates.
