JAMMU, Nov 6: BJP spokesperson and Ex MLA, Ranbir Singh Pathania, underscored the need for persistent, renewed focus on far flung, persistently neglected areas.
While addressing a series of meetings at Dhema, Majalta, Townhall Ramnagar, Pathania said that a record and unprecedented number of funds/initiatives have been launched by BJP Government at Centre under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Home Ministry for J&K. More so, a host of initiatives ‘health for all’ in the form of Ayushman Bharat cards, Back to Village I,II, III & IV, land pass books, unveiling of online services, etc. It becomes incumbent and imperative upon the administrative machinery as well as the top brass in Civil Secretariat that the extra initiative of Bharat Sarkar is supplemented by a public friendly approach. “We should focus on simplifying things rather than complicating them. Pathania called for ensuring a bare minimum of basic healthcare facilities in far-flung areas in these areas”.
Pathania further called for simplifying the social welfare schemes regarding cumbersome procedure for verification in old age pensions. He also called for releasing Adarsh Gram Yojana funds for village Sunal, Jaganoo, Sountha and other villages of Udhampur district whereby the approved plans have not been able to put in for want of release of funds. Similarly, works under the bad pocket initiatives have been executed on spot. Completion certificates have also been given by the concerned agencies but funds are yet to be released.
He called for a foolproof mechanism for timely release of MGNREGA liabilities. He also called for greater care while executing other district sector works under the new tendering system. Quality and timely execution of funds hold the key behind the works as on ground.
He further called upon the party cadres to take the message of BJP up to the farthest nook and corner of the area. “We all need to act as harbingers of policies, programmes and achievements of Modi Sarkar’. In its eight years, we have achieved ‘Power to all, ‘Har Ghar Ko Nal’ toilets for every habitation.
