An impressive procession was taken out at Ghordi by the BJYM Karyakartas, led by Ranbir Singh Pathania, Spokesperson of J&K BJP and former MLA Ramnagar.
The occasion coincided with the filing of nomination papers by Rakesh Chander Sharma, BJP candidate. While addressing the gathering, Mr Pathania called upon Congress and JKNPP to come clean before the people regarding its stand on Article 370 and ‘special status.
“While Congress is in an open alliance, JKNPP has a tacit pact with People’s Alliance which has made its stand clear that they are fighting elections to restore Article 370. The track history and chronology of betrayals and treachery of these parties has virtually made them a ‘spent up force,” he said.
He further called upon people of the area to vote for change and vote for better, four-dimensional development of the area. He further had a word of appreciation for Narendra Modi led dispensation at the Centre under whose dynamic leadership third tier of Panchayati Raj is going to be completed for the very first time in J&K. BDC Chairman Ghordi Arti Sharma, declared candidate Rakesh Chander Sharma. Jagmohan Singh, Parkash Chand (Mandal President) and other Sarpanches, Panches and prominent activists were present at the occasion.
Meanwhile, the energy and enthusiasm of party workers was at its peak while Juhi Manhas, BJP’s declared candidate from DDC Khoon addressed her maiden election programme at Khoon.
She vowed to ensure 100 percent implementation of all Centrally sponsored schemes in the area of Khoon so the benefits of schemes reach up to ‘Last man in the last row’. She further assured to take up the issue of completing the work from Thial to Chountra Mata, Sundla to Laa via Babey, G S Banj to Mariala Rajundi roads. She further assured to open a standard health institution and an ITI college for the people of the area.
Among those, who were present on the occasion, included Capt Gopal Singh (Mandal Pardhan), Shiv Ram (General Secretary Mandal), Ved Sharma (I/C DDC Elections Khoon), Raman Khajuria, Mohan Lal, Nisha Devi, Soma Devi, Suneet Singh, Romesh Gupta, Chain Singh, Surinder Singh, Manoj Kumar (All Sarpanches) and other prominent party activists of block Khoon.
