Party won’t rest till last victim is rehabilitated: Jugal

JAMMU, Sept 20: BJP at a meeting of senior party leaders, State office bearers, district presidents, MLAs which was presided over by State president of the party, Jugal Kishore Sharma and BJP National convener of Morchas & Cells Mohinder Pandey, the ongoing flood relief operations of the Party were reviewed. It also discussed the future course of actions to ensure that the Party’s helping hand reaches the last family affected.
Leader of Legislative party Ashok Khajuria, National Executive Member Shamsher Singh Manhas, State general secretary (Organization) Ashok Kaul shared the dais.
During the meeting, it was stressed on the Party leaders to supervise and manage the distribution of relief and ensure that no affected family is deprived of the same on the consideration of political affiliations.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while appreciating the efforts of Party activists in working round the clock to help in distribution of relief material, said that the post flood situation needs very careful and sustained handling and every effort should be made to ensure that whatever is received as relief in the form of commodities and donations is distributed in such a way that no one is left. He said that the party has undertaken the mission to keep its operations of distributing relief material till the last affected family is adequately rehabilitated.
Mohinder Pandey said that the recent natural calamity has shaken the entire nation and the people across the country have displayed their resolute intention to help the needy in this hour of grief and sorrow. He said that while the Central Government went into intense action mode at the earliest to extend every possible help and the Party cadre in New Delhi and other states has also immediately commenced collecting the relief materials and dispatching the same for the affected people in the State. In comparison the State Government has remained in deep slumber for long and is even now very sluggish in its action.
Earlier in the meeting, the respective prabharis, district president and MLAs gave the detailed account of the losses and damage suffered in their respective areas including the causalities of men and cattle.
