JAMMU, June 18: Seven day Chetna Abhiyan led by Prof Bhim Singh started this morning from Kathua to create awareness among the youth and students in particular against terrorism, corruption and communalism, drug menace etc.
The Panthers Party team comprised of legislators, senior party leaders, members of the secretariat, Kissans, youth, women and trade union wings. The prominent members of the team included party general secretary, Yashpaul Kundal, MLA, Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC, PK Ganjoo, vice president, Anita Thakur, HC Jalmeria, Shanti Swaroop Basotra, general secretary, Bansi Lal Sharma, advisor, district president, Ravinder Pathania, working president, Billawar, Jagdev Sarpanch, Shanker Singh Sarpanch, Secretary, Panthers Kisan Council, Neelam Abrol, secretary, Women Wing, Meenakshi district president Women Wing, Jia Lal Verma, provincial general secretary, Rajinder Manjoo, State secretary and others.
Kathua district passed its first resolution urging Prof Bhim Singh to contest forthcoming Lok Sabha election from Udhampur-Doda Constituency. Similar unanimous resolutions were also passed in Billawar, Basohli and other areas.
Meanwhile, in a meeting held in Kupwara in North Kashmir, the Panthers Party has also proposed Prof Bhim Singh’s name to contest Lok Sabha election from Baramulla Constituency in Kashmir Valley.
Addressing the Chetna Abhiyan senior party leaders attacked NC-Congress coalition and termed it as most corrupt, communal, anti-people and bunch of highway robbers.
The Chetna Abhiyan will reach Bani and Bhaderwah tomorrow on June 19. Prof Bhim Singh made a strong appeal to the people of J&K particularly youth and students to join Panthers Party’s Chetna Abhiyan in the greater national interest.
